FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

We understand that investing in your child's education is a significant commitment for families. At Wellan, we strive to make our school affordable for every admitted student. The Wellan financial aid program is need-based, providing grants to accepted students who, without such assistance, would be unable to attend.

Awards are based first on the family’s socio-economic eligibility, and also take into account other factors that help the school achieve full enrollment, create a diverse student body, and build a strong community of families who understand and support the school’s educational mission.

In addition, we offer monthly installment programs to keep payments manageable.

Our Financial Aid Process

Wellan uses a thorough evaluative process for financial aid eligibility beginning with your application through the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) School & Student Services (SSS) website. This secure online program evaluates a family’s ability to pay tuition based on factors such as income, net worth, housing costs, number of children, and the cost of living for our area.

For New Families:

1. Visit the SSS website and complete your Personal Financial Statement by January 15, 2025

2. Upload your 2023 tax returns and supporting documents to the SSS site by February 15, 2025.

3. Wellan will notify you of your award by March 10, 2025. Awards will be contingent on receipt of up-to-date tax returns and income verification.

For Returning Families:

1. Visit the SSS website and complete your Personal Financial Statement by December 15, 2024

2. Wellan will notify you of your award on or before January 24, 2025. Awards will be contingent on receipt of up-to-date tax returns and income verification.

3. Upload your 2023 tax returns and supporting documents to the SSS site by February 15, 2025.

See detailed instructions hereIncomplete financial aid applications will not be considered.
