LIBRARY RESOURCES
The mission of the Donna Franca Franzaroli Library and Resource Center is to serve as a welcoming space where students, ranging from 15 months to grade 8, have access to a rich and diverse collection of literacy resources. The library staff endeavors to foster an environment in which students, faculty, and families are:
-
Inspired to learn, question, and explore;
-
Empowered to find materials independently and to ask for guidance should they need it;
-
Challenged to explore a diversity of voices, identities, and perspectives.
The library staff selects materials for the library that are:
-
Appropriate for all reading levels, from 15 months through 8th grade
-
Relevant to the curriculum
-
Current and accurate
-
Representative of diverse backgrounds and perspectives
-
Engaging and of high interest to students
-
Recommended or requested by students, faculty, and families
